Colorado State Requirements for LPC Supervision

Colorado’s Mental Health Practice Act states that all hopeful Licensed Professional Counselors meet certain requirements. Candidates must follow state educational, examination, and supervised practice guidelines. Then, once met, prospective LPCs submit an application to the Division of Professions and Occupations. This department is overseen by the Department of Regulatory Agencies, (DORA).

Becoming a therapist in Colorado? You must also fulfill experience requirements by working as a professional counselor candidate. If you have felt a calling to practice in the areas of postpartum anxiety and depression to help individuals and families find unity again, Soul Soul Counseling is an excellent (and heartfelt) practice to gain your LPC supervision requirements.

The State of Colorado mandates that candidates must acquire at least 100 hours of supervision for 2000 hours of work experience. Of these supervision hours, 70 must be individual supervision and up to 30 can be group supervision. Please inquire about availability for both individual and small group supervision services.
