Becca Hart Featured in Bold Journey: Overcoming Postpartum Depression

In her Bold Journey feature, Becca opened up about one of the most personal chapters of her life: her own experience with postpartum depression and anxiety (PPD/A).
After seven years as a child and adolescent therapist, Becca felt prepared for motherhood — but after her daughter’s birth in 2015, PPD/A, in her words, “hit me like a Mack truck.” She describes the intrusive thoughts, the sleepless hyper-vigilance, and above all the shame that kept her suffering silently.
What moved her forward was getting help — through medication, Brainspotting, and neurofeedback — and a promise she made to herself: if she healed, she would study perinatal mental health so other moms would not have to struggle to find support. She kept that promise, building a practice of specialized perinatal therapists, trauma-skilled Brainspotting practitioners, and neurofeedback trainers.
Today her focus has grown toward supporting newer perinatal and trauma therapists — through LPCC supervision, perinatal consultation, and Brainspotting consultation — while continuing to walk alongside mothers through counseling for mothers.
